GroupVille is a browser-based collaboration environment.

This new version of GroupVille - version 2.0 Release1 - includes several news features such as

• Browser-based server administration
• Tasks and task management for workflows
• Easier file uploads and downloads using a browser plugin
• Web mail (POP3) in addition to the IM-like functionality found in version 1.x

as well as many enhancements in existing functionality.

We are also working on synchronization with Palm OS devices and on the GroupVille SDK for Java in later releases.

The new version will be a free upgrade for all current GroupVille customers and runs on WebObjects 5 for Java on all the platforms it supports (including Mac OS X Server 10.x).

Mac OS X Server 1.x and the Objective-C plugins from version 1 are no longer being developed as of March 4, 2003.

The product is now tested and used by early adopters in Switzerland.

We will initially release GroupVille2 in Switzerland only.

Pricing and availability of the new version will be announced in summer 2003.
